How it works

Three steps, then it answers for you

Most people are live before their coffee goes cold.

01

Add what you already have

Your returns policy, price list, FAQ, delivery terms. Drop in a PDF or a text file. Nothing to rewrite, nothing to tag.

02

Make it look like you

Pick your colour, your wording, your greeting. It takes your website icon automatically, so it looks like part of your site.

03

Add one line to your site

Copy it, paste it, done. Works with Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow and anything else that lets you paste a snippet.

The difference

The same six questions, every single week

Without chatfor.site

They wait until tomorrow

  • A shopper cannot find your delivery times, so they email
  • The email lands at 9pm and sits there overnight
  • You copy the same paragraph you sent last Tuesday
  • Half of them gave up and bought elsewhere

Every one of them is already answered somewhere in your documents. Nobody can find it.

With chatfor.site

They get the answer now

chatfor.site1.4 seconds

Log scale. chatfor.site figure measured across 14 real support questions.

  • They ask on the page they are already reading
  • The answer arrives in about a second, worded like you
  • It comes from your policy, not from a guess
  • If your documents do not cover it, it says so and points them to you

Asked on real shops, every day

How long do I have to return this?Do you deliver to the Isle of Man?Is next-day delivery available on Saturdays? What is covered by the warranty? Can I open a trade account? How do I delete my account? Are the batteries interchangeable? What happens if nobody is home?Do you deliver to the Scottish Highlands? How long does a 5Ah battery take to charge?

It never makes anything up. If it does not know, it says so.

Why that matters
Why it works

Helpful, and safe to leave alone

The worry with a chatbot is what it might say when you are not looking. This one is built around that.

Everything it says comes from this

Your documents are the whole of its world. It cannot reach past them, and when a question falls outside them it tells the visitor so rather than filling the gap with something plausible.

It only says what you told it

Every answer comes from the documents you uploaded. Ask it something you never covered and it admits it rather than inventing a policy you will have to honour.

Answers while they are still reading

Replies start arriving in about a second and finish in two. Nobody waits, nobody leaves to find a phone number.

Looks like part of your site

Your colour, your wording, your icon. Sit it in the corner as a bubble, or place it inside a page like a contact form.

Replies in their language

A visitor writing in French gets French back, from the same English documents. Nothing extra to set up.

Your content stays yours

Lock the assistant to your own domains so nobody can lift your script tag and run it on their site at your expense.

Try it before anyone sees it

A private preview inside your dashboard, running the real thing. Ask it the awkward questions first.

In action

Real answers, from a real set of documents

These are straight out of the product, from a sample policy handbook. Including the one it refuses.

How long do I have to send something back?

Thirty days from delivery, as long as it is unused and in the original packaging. Clearance items are the exception unless they arrived faulty.

From your returns policy

Who is your chief executive?

I do not have that to hand, I am afraid. I can help with orders, delivery and returns, or you can reach the team directly.

Not in your documents, so it says so

And how much is next day?

Next-day delivery is £6.99, ordered before 2pm Monday to Thursday.

Understood "next day" from the question before

Pricing

You pay for answers, not for seats

An answer is one reply to one visitor. Add as many people to your account as you like, it costs nothing extra.

Questions

The things people ask us

Fittingly, most of these came from our own assistant.

Do I need a developer?

No. You copy one line and paste it into your site, the same way you would add Google Analytics or a Facebook pixel. If you use Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace or Webflow, there is a box for exactly this.

What if it gives a wrong answer?

It only ever answers from the documents you upload. It is told, firmly, that if your documents do not cover something it must say so rather than guess. You can try it privately in your dashboard first and ask it the awkward questions before anyone else sees it.

What counts as an answer?

One reply to one visitor question. If somebody asks four things in a conversation, that is four answers. Your own testing in the dashboard counts too, so you can see exactly what you are using.

What can I upload?

PDFs and text files, up to 20MB each. Policies, price lists, FAQs, product guides, terms. Scanned PDFs need to have real text in them rather than being photographs of pages.

Can somebody steal my assistant and run it on their site?

You can lock each assistant to your own domains, and then it simply will not load anywhere else. On the free plan it is open by default so you can experiment.

Will it slow my site down?

No. It loads after your page has finished and sits in its own sealed container, so it cannot affect your layout, your fonts or your styles, and nothing on your site can break it.

What happens to my documents?

They stay in your account and are used only to answer your visitors. They are not shared with anyone else and are not used to train anything. Delete a document and it stops being used immediately.

Can I change my mind?

Yes. No contract and no notice period. Cancel and you drop back to the free plan at the end of the month you have paid for.

Your website already has the answers.
